What you’ll see
Redang is a marine park off Terengganu on the east coast, and it has the clearest water of the islands we sell, the snorkelling is the whole reason to go.
The standard package is three days and two nights: boat transfer in from the jetty, full board at the resort, and snorkelling trips to the house reef and out into the marine park.
The east coast has a monsoon season and the island resorts close for part of the year, so check the open dates with us before you plan around it.
Turtles, reef sharks and clownfish are all common sightings. Bring your own mask if you are particular about the fit.

Good to know
- Monsoon closure
- Redang is on the east coast. Resorts and boats close over the north-east monsoon, roughly November to February or early March. Ask us for the open dates before booking flights.
- Marine park fee
- Pulau Redang is a gazetted marine park and a conservation charge is collected on arrival. It is separate from the package.
- Snorkelling
- The house reef is reachable from the beach and the marine park trips go out by boat. Bring your own mask if you are particular about the fit.
- Getting there
- Fly or drive to Kuala Terengganu, then a boat from Merang or Shahbandar jetty.
