MKZ · UNESCO old town
Five centuries of Portuguese, Dutch and British rule in one walkable old town, and Jonker Street after dark.
Duration is a guide, tell us your dates and we will confirm it.
Malacca's old town is on the UNESCO list because of what five centuries of Portuguese, Dutch and British rule left behind: the red Stadthuys, the ruins of St Paul's Church and the A Famosa gate.
Jonker Street is the reason to stay past the afternoon, antique shops, Nyonya kitchens, and the night market on weekend evenings.
We also stop at Cheng Hoon Teng, the oldest functioning Chinese temple in the country, and at the Baba & Nyonya heritage house when it is open.
It is roughly two hours down the highway from Kuala Lumpur, so it works as a long full day, or as an overnight if you want the evening in Jonker.
Ask for a quote
Tours are priced per group, not per head, so the fare depends on your dates, your numbers and the vehicle. Tell us those three and we will send a real figure.
Arriving or leaving?
Add a stop, drop one, stretch it to two days, or fold it into a longer itinerary. If you are travelling with elderly parents or small children, say so and we will cut the walking and add the air-conditioned stops.
Tell us what you need
Dates, headcount and where you want to go is enough to start. We come back with a real fare for those dates, or skip the form and just call in.
